FS: 59.5cm Rivendell Road Bicycle

Selling my Rivendell, which is unfortunately a little too
big for me. It is one of the earlier Rivendells built by
Waterford using Reynolds 753 tubing. The lugs are the
beautiful, highly detailed lugs designed by Richard Sachs,
and the frame has the optional add-on head tube lug
extender, which allows you to put the bars up a little
higher. The bike is a beautiful silver color and the paint
is in remarkable condition. There are only a few tiny areas
of touchup. The bike is equipped with a Tange headset, a
Nitto Pearl stem, Nitto road bars (I think they are Model
#176), a Nitto seatpost (like the Crystal Fellow), and a
Brooks B17 saddle. The bottom bracket is by Phil Wood and
the crank is a Suntour Superbe (39/51 rings ... the big one
is a Willow brand ring). The bike has Campagnolo C-Record
front and rear derailleurs and also has the beautiful Campy
retro-friction (like Simplex) shifters mounted on bar-end
pods, so they're right at the barend. The brakes and levers
are Shimano Dura-Ace (aero levers) and the calipers are the
nice sidepulls made just prior to the dual pivot type. The
bike is complete with ESGE fenders and at my asking price,
I'll also include a nice Carradice saddle bag (I think it is
the Camper model). My asking price is $1750. It sounds like
a lot of money, but that won't even come close to getting
you a current Rivendell frame,and I personally think the
lugs on this bike are nicer than the current model. Also,
Reynolds 753 tubing is wonderful stuff and is not being used
anymore. All of the components are in perfect working
condition and rate about a 9.9 out of 10 cosmetically. You'd
have to look REAL close to see that the bike has even been
used. Hubs are Campy C-Record and the rims are high quality
(can't remember which type and I'm at work right now). The
Tires are Continentals (2000s, I think). Please allow me
