Unusual one this...........
Pair of Campagnolo drop-bar brake levers for sale. Actually
2003 Mirage 9-speed Ergopower levers that I've modified.
£16 inc post.
All gear levers and shifting guts removed (for spares).
Spacer firmly wedged and glued in place of ratchet mechanism
to support handlebar clamp. Front gap of absent gear levers
also partly filled for ergonomics. "9 Speed" logo painted
out. Total weight (for pair inc hoods): approx 280g.
Black composite levers - strong and stiff, look good, warm
to the touch in chilly weather! "Aero" type (cable runs
along front of handlebar). Incorporates quick releases to
open levers a bit more for removing wheels.
Bodies and levers all in very good condition except for
scratches on right lever blade. Right hood needs replacing
- underside of hood is completely split open (but could be
crudely bodged if you need to keep expense down),
otherwise hardly used. Left hood (taken from an another
lever) is well used has small partial splits underneath,
but is still useable.
Not actually tested as brake levers since the conversion
(although mounted to bars to test bar clips) but I can't see
why they wouldn't work well. I will refund if not happy for
any reason at all and returned within 14 days. Not
economical to convert back into brifters nor very practical
because of the epoxy resin added.
Ideal for upgrading an old bike with cheap & nasty levers
(more comfy & efficient), or if you need lever(s) without
shifters and happen to like the shape of Campags but don't
want to shell out for Records (which are only 70g lighter).
Requires Campagnolo-compatible cables.
£16 including postage. Please email p[at]biggs[dot]tc
