A used Rocky Mountain Element Team SC frameset in Factory Team colors.
Size: XL. This frameset would be good for a rider who's about 6' to 6'3"
tall. Sized for 27.2 seatposts and 31.8 front derailleur clamps. 1 1/8"
aheadset compatible.
History: This frameset was put into service at the end of 2001. Is saw
action in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. This bike was ridden in
a few xc races in the spring of 2002. And then ridden what basically
amounted to about a dozen, two or three-hour rides a year in 2003 and
2004.
Condition: This frameset shows the normal wear and tear of a mountain
bike. The paint is worn where the cables route; where the chain slaps
and a bit where there's evidence of chain suck. The decal kit wasn't
clear coated before it left the factory so it looks a little ratty - the
good news here is that a complete factory decal kit is included with
this frameset. From 2003 onward, the bicycle was maintained by a
professional bicycle mechanic who replaced the rear swing-arm after the
original failed. And also at that time installed a new bushing kit. This
framset includes two brand new rear derailleur hangers. The rear shock
is a FOX Float RC with lockout. This shock has been a real trooper and
has worked flawlessly over the years. That pretty much goes for the
frame too. Rocky Mountain has changed the Element very little over the
years. It's a good, solid design that works well.
