I am extremely happy with my 2002 Fuji Team. It's light, its pretty stiff (although not super stiff), and its durable. I bought it in September 2003, have put well over 4000 miles on it, and its still going strong. My only complaint is that the Ritchey wheels were rather flimsy and prone to go out of true. But that's not a problem now -- I now have an Ultegra rear hub and a 105 front hub with Mavic Open Pro rims.

Fuji consistently makes great bikes at great prices; I paid only $1200 (without pedals) for a 17-18lb 61cm full Ultegra aluminum bike. I know a few people who have the 2004 Roubaix, and they all love it. For the same price, I don't think there's a better deal to be found. How many other sub-$1000 bikes have light aluminum frames with carbon seatstays, and a 105 drivetrain?

Fuji might not have the appeal of higher-end brands, but they offer unbeatable value. I'd say take the deal.

Just wondering if you ever got the Fuji Roubaix Pro? Just wondering how you liked it / disliked?
I just bought a 'new' 2002 Roubaix Pro. Which I think is different from the current model year Roubaix Pro in that it has a Reynolds 853 Steel Frame (versus your aluminum with carbon seat stays) but the same group set, not sure how much it has evolved over the years. I don't mind as much since my LBS wanted around 1050 for a 2005 Roubaix Pro and I got this one for a lot less. I can't wait to be finished with classes so I can go riding on it. One thing I did notice between the two is that the steel felt a bit more comfortable when I test rode them both.
