Funded team for UCI BMX World Championships announced

USA Cycling announced today the nine athletes who have automatically qualified to represent the United States at the 2007 UCI BMX World Championships under its andldquo;Funded Teamandrdquo; criteria. Four elite men, three elite women, and two junior athletes have qualified for funding. The 2007 UCI BMX World Championships are scheduled for July 26-29 in Victoria, British Columbia and is the first event that offers points towards athletesandrsquo; 2007-08 USA Cycling BMX Rankings andndash; the primary factor in determining the long team for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team.
