I've seen far too many Sugars (all versions) break down near the BB.

29 inch bikes have limited selections of parts/tires, etc.

I've never ridden a 29er but a guy I use to ride with all the time did, so
I can tell you:
1) Chain suck is real and it - well - sucks.
3) His tubes went flat (I would say) unusually often and do to the
odd size he couldn't switch to much of an alternate configuration.
2) He liked it, but he tells me his next bike will probably be a
26er. He thought it taught him skills that he can now take to the next
level with the smaller tires.
