Hi guys, about a month back i purchased a Polygon Heist 4.0 and I thoroughly enjoy my rides whenever i go cycling. It sports a Shimano Alivio groupset. One thing i noticed is the faster i go, the harder bumps on the road have an effect on my bike, and recently a simple bump threw my chain off the gear it was and it fell to a smaller gear, and i lost speed after being unable to pedal. *insert disappointed face*. Something loose perhaps?

The cables have probably stretched out a bit, which is a normal occurrence on new bikes, so the derailleur is slightly out of adjustment.

Most bikes shops will tell you to bring your bike in for a tune up after you have ridden it for a month or so.

Also, make sure you always have some tension on your chain. If you are going downhill, for example, without tension and hit a bump, you are more likely to drop your chain (or have it bounce into a different gear).

The shop you brought it from will probably give you a complimentary service and fix it.
