The first annual Health Net Warner Center Disco Run-n-Ride benefiting the West Valley Boys and Girls
Club is ready to Boogie this weekend. The Roller Blade 5K will be kick off the fun as hundreds will
take to the streets of Woodland Hills to the sounds of KBIG Disco Fever and the Warner Center 5/10K.
The participants will enjoy great weather with temperatures expected in the low 80's and after
heating up, the first 400 participants will enjoy a free Jamba Juice smoothie after the finish. The
event will kick off at 8 am at the Westfield Promenade Mall.
Sunday, the 12th annual Warner Center Grand Prix will feature the strongest field in the events
history as 4th ranked NRC rider, Gord Fraser, riding for the Health Net cycling team, will be among
the favorites in a field that will include the Cuban Missile, Ivan Dominguez. The racing action
gets started at 8 am with the Masters 50+. The first 500 riders will receive a burrito courtesy of
Baja Fresh.
In addition to the racing action, there will be plenty of activities for the family as a Family
Community Expo, Kid's Zone, and Kid's racing will be center stage. All of the action will be seen
on Time Warner Cable systems in Southern California and highlights will air on OLN's Summer
Sports Zone.
