Hi folks
First time post since accident (I have some online access now thanks to Peter & Alan). I am still in hospital and stuck in bed some 5.5 weeks after my crash. Good news is I am on the improve after some dark early days. Hence no blog or forum posts of late. Injuries ended up to be pretty serious with the loss of most of my lower leg muscle fibres.
So after many weeks of fighting, I ended up having to have my lower left leg amputated approx 10cm, BTK. So I will be relearning the whole cycling thing.
I have another week of basic healing before I'll be released to rehab
(Fingers crossed no more complications). But after 7 surgerys, I am
determined to get back on the bike and race my socks (well sock )
off again.
The drugs don't make for forum conversations as I'm still a bit slow
typing! So bear with me. The outlook is bright though - so many new challenges to face, I'll be glad to share my experience through the blog.
Cheers
Alex
