Just before the Llyn Eiglau car park there is a track that goes off to the right and eventually goes round to the Dulyn Reservoir. There is also a track that goes up to the ruined sluice gates etc (GR 724673 I think).
Since this is the way we plan to descend following this years attempt on the Welsh 3's, does anyone know if it is possible to get a vehicle up the track (and if possible to the sluice gates)?

I parked at Llyn Eigiau a while back and walked up the track. I climbed a stile to get on it, so there must have been a gate, probably locked (or I'd have gone through it). I met a farmer in some sort of vehicle coming the other way, so it must be passable - depending on your vehicle. It's described as a "wide stoned track" at
