I've been looking to get some advice on the Giant Defy composite 1. I've been a keen cyclist for years but have recently sold my car to finance a decent road bike. I went to have a look at the bike at rutland cyclings showroom and was really impressed, however I'd be keen to hear some reviews from people who've test driven the bike or have already purchased one.

Are there any cheaper alternatives that can live up to the reviews of the defy? Or any special offers that anyone has seen?
