After only 70 miles, they developed an alarming amount of free play on the bearings. Since they have no Shimano parts you're already struggling to find anywhere to fix it before you even start looking. Anyway, took it to local wheel building LBS over a week ago. Heard nothing.
Rang up and asked if there was a problem and was told that they've been very busy, what with all the warm weather. I joked that it indeed brings them all out of the woodwork so that us all year round bikers get shoved to the back of the queue :-)
Upshot is - the axle is bent and they've got to order new parts to fix it and the total bill will be 20 quid. I suppose that's one drawback of getting something new on ebay - no guarantee on new goods.

... and no pre-delivery check, and no free 1st service, and no negotiation on swapping components. Of course you made your bid knowing all that and I still think you got a very good deal.

That's the strange thing - there was no play on them at all when I got it, I can't figure out how the axle got bent just by me riding it.
