+1. I don't like Astana much. But cycling needs a systemic attack on a systemic problem. By ASO playing "king of the arbitrary/subjective invite", they have devalued sponsor investments in cycling IMHO.

The great suffering for everyone is what Bro Deal mentioned in another thread. The ****-hearted efforts and corruption of the UCI is still in evidence with their duplicitous treatment of convicted dopers and McQuaid's declaration that Contador is "clean". We all want the sport to clean itself up and have confidence that those responsible for cleaning it up, share our commitment. Unfortunately the conflicts of interest still exist and are evident.
