Ricco' is currently Da Man here. He is good for selling newspapers, and the Gazzetta website focused much more on him than on Di Luca yesterday, just as an example...

No problem re: Simoni, everyone knows it is his last year... and he clearly did not have the legs this year for a 'glorious' victory at his last Giro.
so they like the brash, super-ego... doh of course they do, it's great for la Gazzetta

ha ! Contador & Ricco just had words with each other with Contador waving a bannana at Ricco !!!!! True...

LOL. Ricco' talking to Menchov. Contador rode up and he got into an argument with Ricco'...

Wonder what they are saying: Contador: " Hey! You are not allowed to speak to Menchov! He is not allowed to pull for you! Only CSF riders are allowed to ride up front!" :D

Probably Riccò wants Colom to help with keep the pace and distance Di Luca. At this point it's looking clear that Riccòs chances for the maglia rosa are slim so he's worrying more about losing the second spot on GC to Di Luca in the TT.
Sella or Simoni are no threat to Contador so Colom is not going to drive the pace...4 seconds is more than enough for Contador to take with him to the TT

So curiosity... how much did Sella cost for Astana? I've always wondered if there's a well known scale for stuff like this.

The Giro is over. Contador the winner.
Unfortunately this seems to be the case. Can't see either Menchov or Bruseghin making up two minutes on him tomorrow, but one of those two could end up on the podium. All today has done is destroy Di Luca's chances. Contador could still have a **** time trial tomorrow?

If Contador's recovery between yesterday and today is any indication, it is highly unlikely that he will have a **** TT tomorrow unless he gets some bad luck with mechanicals.
