Goat heads, name of plant ?

Does any one know the proper or common name for the producer of the
dreaded "Goat Heads"? Or could you describe it? After almost 20 yrs
(not continuous) of mt. biking, I should know what the dammed thing
looks like. Upon knowing it's name I will proceed to Google it in hopes
of finding a picture.
Went for a mt. bike ride today, sunny, no wind, hi 70s, the type of
winter weather one dreams of, even here in sunny Calli. Caught ~18
goat heads in the rear tire. Removed all both inside the tire & out. (2
were in the same area as a splot of dog ca ca) Installed new tube, &
noticed front tire was also flat. Started removing GHs only to have 3
blow air streams in my face. Decided that I wasn't going to patch at
least 3 holes. Besides a bus stop was about a 1/4 mi away. Great ride
on a beautiful day anyway.
Also how long does the last half of a Big Air can last once it's been
punctured?

Thanks, John

The good news is that it is great for premature ejaculation,
impotence, low libido, and male infertility.

These are "facts"
http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/pro-hormones/tribulus-terrestris-facts.htm

It only cures impotence because it gets you off that rail-thin sadel.

Actually, it doesn't CURE impotence at all. However, once you stick that
thorn into your pee-pee you don't care any more.

HTH, BS

PS: "Sadel"?!? Ah, as in sadistic... Good one. {rolls eye emoticon

When I was a kid I rode into a field of those suckers and I watched them
cover the front tire. I immediately jumped off forgeting that I was
barefoot. I ended up picking them off my ass as well after I could not
stand.

Thanks All,
For great information and also great comedy. That's why I like this NG
so much, John

"tribulus terrestris". My latin's a bit rusty (actualy, I never studied
it), but wouldn't that translate into "Terrestrial (Earthly)Triulations
(bad fortune)"?
