Going for a 140 mile bike trip over 2 days

I live in taunton somerset and am considering riding to Stonehenge and staying at a hotel and then riding back.
This is about 70 miles a day, my concern is the route i would be taking. This being alone the 303 to yeovil then along to stonehenge.

Does anyone know another route i could possible take?
What are your opinions on my challenge

Why not go via Langport and then via the B roads through Somerton to Clanville, then take the lanes via Bruton, Brewham, Maiden Bradley, Heytesbury and then on through Chitteme and Shrewton.

It might be a bit of an adventure and might add a few miles to the route.

Is there anyway you could mark that out of google map?
Seems a better way but how do i know if i am going the right way?

I used to live in Taunton; and I wouldn't fancy my chances on the 303.
