Hello.

I am planning on going to belgium to race next year for 2 - 3 months. I am wanting to go the the flanders region. I know its a long time away but would need to start getting sorted soon.
Can anyone help me out with finding a place to stay? I have been searching the internet for weeks now and cannot find anything thats helpful.
Does anyone knoe of any team opportunities or teams that would be willing to take on a rider for 2 or 3 months? Or even accomodation to stay in whilst there?

Any help is a big help, thank you

2 sites with ads from locals who rent rooms, flats and houses. Ghent is located quite centrally, and it's a pleasant place for spending your time before and after the rides ...

While doing a search, it's always useful trying the 'flemish' names instead of the english ones!
Brugge, Gent, Antwerpen, Mechelen, Leuven, Oudenaarde, Kortrijk, Oostende, ...

Good luck.

right on! The racing here is insane-- but great fun.

Kingsnorth seem to have lots of international riders- might be worth getting in touch with them... they're mentioned here: http://pezcyclingnews.com/?pg=fullstory&id=8359

Gregg Germer used to blog for Pez cyclingnews, and had some great stories. He's running this now: http://www.thechainstay.com/
and has this great site with info on racing in Belgium: http://www.thechainstay.com/belgium/

There's the Cycling Center- http://www.cyclingcenter.com/cycling_main.asp?ccID=2

I met some other Canadians, Aussies, Kiwis and Americans on Belgian teams, but don't know what they're teams were called...
But don't need a team to race in Belgium- if you come with your country's license, you'll need a letter from your federation that says you're allowed to race in Belgium.

Best of luck!
