Maybe my food processor is telling me it's time to go, but I don't want to
buy a new one just yet. Damn motor is still strong, and I've got a drawer
full of blades and accessories.
It's an old model, well-used.15 years old or more. Probably much more -- I
really don't want to think about it.
Mostly I use the metal blade, and now and then it gets "stuck" onto the
shaft. I'm guessing it has to do with getting moisture or goop up inside the
blade somewhere and then it forms a vacuum and instead of sliding off, it
just hangs on.
Normally, a little rocking of the bowl breaks the vacuum and all is well.
Once or twice I've had to let it sit overnight, and then it dries out and
the blade just slides off.
I'm on day 2, and the stupid blade is still stuck. I've rocked the bowl,
banged it around, cussed at it, tried pulling, prying, and pleading with it.
I'd really like to get this thing apart so I can clean it well. And I'd like
to use it, so suggestions requiring hacksaws, drills, or explosives, while
fun, will probably not be a good options.
Anybody got any ideas?
