I am interested in getting into cycling but am not sure on my options. I have done some searching online and found Worksman and Zize companies that offer heavy capable bikes but was wondering if anyone knew of any cheaper options. I would need at least a 450 Ib capable bike. Thank you.

If you weigh at least 450 pounds you can't go to a department store, but some LBS's either carry or can order a Workman Cycles bicycle, some if not all can handle at least 450 pounds. You may want to call them; see: http://www.worksmancycles.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/lct-p-bg.html Of course these are not 10 speed racing bikes but they will hold your weight and you can ride it until you lose enough weight to get a road bike.
