Anyone know what Graeme Miller is up to these days. Graeme was a featured athlete in the DVD cycling movie 'The Hard Road'. I was amazed at how he performed while racing professionally well into his 40's. Any of you Aussies or Kiwi's know what Graem is doing today. Why did he retire? I hear that it had something to do with back problems.

As I am sure you know by now, Graeme did suffer a back injury requiring surgery and it has not responded well to rehab. He has returned to NZ to continue his life in real estate.

Awesome rider, GM.

Met him at the Sun Tour.....top bloke and real hard nut of the road.

Still got his victory at the 1990 Commonwealth Games on tape, when Scott Goguen attacked through the feed with a couple of laps to go, forcing Miller and Fowler to go without drinks for a full lap. All the Kiwis came out onto the road with hoses etc to douse their local boyz....

Graeme, his wife and a young racer from PA actually stayed at my home for a few days while they were doing a local racing series here in North Carolina. I was approached by a biking friend about having some extra room and I said sure. Graeme was so unassuming and humble, I had no idea at the time he was such an international talent.
