Great news for road safety. Smith's ticker stops.

The man who calls the police "Cxxts", who allows his forum posters to
call police officers "cxxts", allows threads that label his critics
terrorists and encourages the perversion of justice so that speeding
drivers use dead people's details to avoid speeding fines has had a
heart attack.

Call it pragmatism, twelve hundred people killed by the speeding Smith
encourages balanced against one insignificant self-publicist. Get out
of hospital and get some good hearty fried breakfasts inside of you
Smithy!

Whilst I'm happy that you've discovered the art of writing short posts,
that one was pretty out of order. It's only worth a snigger if the
misfortune is somehow ironic. I sense a lot of hatred in you that is
leading to rising stress. You getting a heart attack might be worth a
giggle ;)

Out of order, old boy.

He's no friend of ours, but don't descend to that level...

These two don't square with each other.

Hopefully as part of his recuperation Paul will be taking up cycling.

Low impact, cardio vascular. Jogging causes shin splints and would be
dangerous for a man of his age and physical shape. Who's up for
clubbing together to get Paul a bike so that:

1/

He won't die clutching his chect in agony at a wasted life

2/

He changes the direction of his fruitless letter-writing that everyone
ignores. After all, he freely admits that vulnerable road users are
not considered in his car-centric campaigning so a few journeys by
bike would dispel his oft-repeated myth that speeding is a victimless
crime! Many people are discouraged from cycling by the kind of
behaviour Smith excuses- speeding!

I'd suggest a Trek 4300 hard-**** for Smith's recuperation and fully
anticipate a Damascene conversion once the scales fall from his eyes
when he realises how aggressive and frightening speeding is. Unless he
dies, natch.

But even if one does feel it warrants descent to that level, again it
comes back to pragmatism (as espoused by Spindrift above). That sort of
behaviour *will* turn people off to your message, so if you want people
to listen to you then you don't say things like that in public. For the
simple reason it doesn't help what you want to achieve.

Ok, ok, blimey, I don't want him to die, sheesh.

It's clear that reason will not appeal to such a blinkered blow hard-
witness his tantrums and threats when challenged above, so let's get
the speccy geek on a bike and prepare for his full and frank
admission that he's very sorry, speeding is jolly silly and scary and
he apologises for any impression given that suggests otherwise!

It'd be rather good if his license gets taken away until he's
medically fit to drive again.

Well, I suppose we must all listen to the voice of experience. Did you
get over it?

Great link, thanks, and one that I freely admit has made me change my
mind, kudos to Cometgirl for this gem:

I don't think we should be hoping for him to die. The campaign can die
quietly just from lack of attention - but I'd like the man (Small
Pith) himself to grow to a ripe old age. Then I'd like him to move to
live at my gran's sheltered accommodation, and he can feel for himself
what it's like to hover nervously at the edge of the road while cars
speed past in their self-important impunity. I'd like him to be
slightly dodgy of hip and knee, and dependent on shuffling slowly
across the road, and unable to because the traffic's moving at 60mph
in a 30 zone.

Now that would be divine justice.

End quote.

Coolectively buying the ponytailed geek a bike is an excellent idea
and I'm happy to put up £50 to get the ball rolling and look forward
tremendously to Paul Smith posting on his website about how speeding
cars make him feel when he's on his spanking new Trek.

Unless he throws a seven and expires in agony in hospital as he sends
an angry PR referring to himself in the third person , obv.

Or, whilst Smith is still alive, we spoon his eyeballs out and have a
flashing electronic laser beam installed in the sockets so that the
words:

"SLOW DOWN YOU SMALL-PENISED BUM BAG"

appear on the road ahead of the speeder.

The electronic apparatus could be stapled to the back of Smith's head.

I know, I know, you're worried about any unnecessary pain caused but
if we wear gloves and goggles we should be ok.
