I have a GT XCR-4000 full suspension. I'm ready to weld on an aluminum mount for my rear disk brake to the swingarm. Is this swingarm made of aluminum? On the main frame there's a sticker that says ALUMINUM 6016-T6 but nothing on the swingarm. Seems to me that it should be the same material. I'm hoping that it's not some kind of exotic outer-space type material. Anybody have experience with welding on bike frames?
