Hi,
I am working on a guiness world record on a stationary bike(indoor cycling) for a 12 hour event.
I am not sure at this point if a record already exists.
I have contacted the Guiness people.

I need help in building a training program for this event.
I am atleast 2 years away for now.

About me:
I used to run a lot for almost 1.5 hours on a treadmill and sometimes outside.
My knees didn't like it and had to go through Orthoscope surgery on my both knees.
The grinding is still there but I am fine with my knees.
I have been doing lots of cycling at home to build my knees and also weight exercises for my legs.
I also do Yoga from time to time.

I need help in achieving my goal.

Thanks in advance.
Srini.

Good luck to you.

I know that my club manager was the first ever to go over 300miles in 12hours. He did that outdoors i believe.

I would imagine there is a record somewhere for an indoor bike.

All i can say is rather you than me. I lose concentration for a 10mile event.

Jeezus......I used to HATE :( 1-hour ergo sessions, so to go for 12 hours would be unbearable.

Good luck mate :)

They must set some kind of resistance requirement for this. I wonder how that is expressed. For example, if you have a load, your distance will be a lot lower than if you use no resistance on the wheel spin.

Did that 300 mile man use some kind of standardized equipment?

It was outdoors on a standard bike, pre aero-bars and disc wheels.

I'm not sure if he did it point to point or several laps of a circuit.
