Had a complaint today.

Discussion in 'UK and Europe' started by Bertie Wiggins, Sep 23, 2005.

  1. A parent sent a letter to the Head to which I've been asked to
    respond.

....The brand new cycle shed with places for 20 bikes is not big
    enough!!!

Fortunately, on Tuesday, the Head, Premises Manager, a School Governor
and myself had a meeting and we agreed, as second priority, to provide
a further 20 - 30 secure cycle parking spaces from the £6,200 School
Travel Plan money we have to spend. (The first priority is a wet
weather shelter for parents who walk their children to/from school so
they won't be tempted to drive their moving shelter to pick up their
    children.)

I'm still optimistic that I'll get a full 10% of children cycling
regularly to school by the end of the Summer Term 2006.
