  1. A parent sent a letter to the Head to which I've been asked to

    ....The brand new cycle shed with places for 20 bikes is not big

    Fortunately, on Tuesday, the Head, Premises Manager, a School Governor
    and myself had a meeting and we agreed, as second priority, to provide
    a further 20 - 30 secure cycle parking spaces from the £6,200 School
    Travel Plan money we have to spend. (The first priority is a wet
    weather shelter for parents who walk their children to/from school so
    they won't be tempted to drive their moving shelter to pick up their

    I'm still optimistic that I'll get a full 10% of children cycling
    regularly to school by the end of the Summer Term 2006.
