  1. Hi all,

After running for around 8 months I am considering running a half marathon in 4 weeks. I run 3-4
times a week (7 miles each).

I have ran three 10K races (another one coming next Sunday), my best time was the first one, 6
    months ago, finishing in 51:20

Some time ago I was trying to do a weekly long run. I stopped 2 months ago after running 10 miles
for a couple of weeks. Two weeks ago I did a test long run of 1:45 minutes after which I had to rest
    for few days.

Do you think it makes sense to follow the last 4 weeks of an HM plan (I started running 8 miles
    yesterday) and go for it?

    Regards,

    Sergio.

I reckon you will do it in much less time than that Sergio!! (My joke sorry couldn't resist it).

Good luck and enjoy, I have done a few and its probably my favourite distance.

What do you mean by a "test long run" ? How long was it ?

A suggestion on the long runs: when you're going close to 2 hours, especially if you haven't
done many long runs before, they will be much easier if you have something to drink when you're
    on the run.

Sure. I think you'll do fine.

    Cheers,
