  1. I had surgery for hallux rigidus (arthritis in the big toe) several years ago - bone spurs around my
toe joint were removed. It was very successful and I'm now able to play tennis, squash, and golf
again after giving up most sports for a couple of years. I've been reluctant to start running again
as this is very hard on the joint and I don't want to damage my toe again. Is anyone out there
running again after having this surgery?

  3. I have arthritis in the joint at the base of the big toe. There is swelling and it is visibly larger
than the other side. Is this what you had?

How was the rehab after the surgery? How long were you in pain?
