Discovery Channel's Roger Hammond leads the British men's elite team in Madrid while Nicole Cooke leads the women's team. The Welsh champion returned to competitive racing at the end of August after nearly two months off due to a knee injury. Hammond recently finished third in the Tour of Britain.
