Okay, uh. Nobody responded to my last post.. but this part is really bugging me now.

It seems as t hough the handlebars on my Mongoose XR100 are not adjustable in height? Where can I get a handlebar stem for this bike that has adjustable height? It is just too backbreakingly low. Also, how does one remove the rubber grip on the handlebars so I can relocate them closer to the outside of the bars.. or get new grips?

Thanks in advance

99% of bikes do not have adjustable stems for one simple reason

THEY SUCK!!!

an adjustable stem often creaks badly and they are way to flexible and heavy. If you need to adjust the height of your bars you will need to buy a new stem or buy riser bars

To get grips off of bars squirt in some wd40 or any lubricant. Check out Norco F.u.n.n. Head Huncho Stem at www.norco.com
Supposedly bomb proof. Or the Look Ergo. Both a little pricey though.
