Hanging bike in garage

I just got a brand new road bike (2011 Felt Z85) and I don't want to leave it on the floor of my garage due to having 3 boys - they toss their bikes and scooters and junk everywhere. So I'm looking into hanging it.

Any thoughts on the rope and pulley systems? Like this one Delta El Greco Ceiling Hoist Bike Storage at REI.com

Any concerns with hanging from the seat? With a carbon seat post? Certainly don't want to damage the brand new bike.

I have one at my place, and the good thing is, you can move it left to right so it is right up against the wall.

I wouldn't recommend garage storage unless your garage happens to be really secure, since garages are pretty easy to break into.
