I was going up my local pile of rocks yesterday, trying to spin in the the biggest gear I could
muster and I torn the pedal apart. Has this happened to anyone else ? Not that I am so strong that
only I could do it... I see plenty of the back sides of riders going up away from me on the climbs.
My local shop "Landrys" swapped them out without question but I am concerned that Shimano will not
honor their 3 yr. warranty for some made up reason, and I will have to bear the cost of another set
of pedals. This pair was 3 months old and never crashed or abused just training and racing.
Basically I am looking for other similar tales of woe to use as ammunition in case Shimano tries to
back out of their warranty or decide to go with another type of pedal if this is a common
occurrence.
