I'll be going to the opposite end of the USA for a training trip in a few weeks.
I have done many trips with a bike. I have traditionally packed it into a case myself and flown with my bike and have not had any damage issues but carrying around the case is a hassle. United Airlines has dropped their sponsorship of USA Cycling so I can no longer fly with the bike on United for free.
So, to make my travel easier, I am considering shipping my bike ahead of my flights. I am not fully enthusiastic about tearing down the bike to large degree (a larger degree than taking on an airplane) but I have found a few companies that ship bikes without major disassembly; you pack in a bike case and they pick it up and deliver through a major shipping company. Sounds very appealing.

http://www.sportsexpress.com/ (Much more expensive for some reason)
Has anyone had experience with these? Can anyone recommend a similar service?
Please, let's not get into a debate about shipping versus travelling with the bike. That's not what I'm asking about.
