Actually, WBT is spot on. In another thread posted in the GT section on April 6th by poulidor http://cyclingforums.com/t467943.html (all of the american articles are from April 7) there is a link to a french article discussing the time delays during the test. Sporza.be also reported it on the 6th. I remember checking cyclingnews and velonews for info that day and also found it interesting that they waited at least 24 hours, more in some cases, to report anything.swampy1970 said:Cyclingnews picked up on it straight away.

Velonews posted an article yesterday too...

... and on the same day that the story hit the fan! Maybe the rest of the world should appologize to you for not being so on the ball as the the whereabout of Lance and what he's been upto as you are.

sure. that is plausible.plectrum said:Balls... to this all. You are approached by someone who normally comes with an escort, with dodgy looking papers, wanting to take blood. I think he was perfectly within rights to check with UCI. It could easily be an official reporter or even worse a wannabe reporter .....

but phone the uci from your doorstep, or your garage. No need to invite a hypothetical imposter inside.
But you need to be vigilant, and maintain the protocol, and not be out of sight of this potential officer. You don't have to flop out your schloeng, and it is well known Armstrong is a little gun shy, in flopping it out, cos he ain't exactly hung like traitor.

I already said all that.Moller said:He's gonna get banned from riding in France.
last night the Giro organisers change the route of the big mountains stage so its not going into France over the Vars and the Izoard.
So unlike the situation where by Valv.piti can't ride the tour if he's banned in Italy, Lance will still be able to ride the Giro.
Sorry, didn't see you'd already posted that. But they're not even blaming snow, their blaming radio frequencies and trafficRolfrae said:I already said all that.
The French have gone and got him on a technicality in lieu of getting an actual, straight forward positive. Looks like he'll have to ramp up that programme for the Giro as it's going to be his only big show of the year. Contador will be gutted.
Blaming radio frequencies really does add credence to the notion that the change is to allow Armstrong to ride.Moller said:Sorry, didn't see you'd already posted that. But they're not even blaming snow, their blaming radio frequencies and traffic
Sure. If that's what it was all about. Which it ain't. What it is about is Armstrong disappearing in the meantime for 20-30 minutes.plectrum said:Balls... to this all. AFLD say that despite several repeated warnings Armstrong failed to stay with sight of the tester. He's farked!plectrum said:This is ***** ... the ASO should just not invite Astana to any of their events if they feel so strongly.
Do you have a source for this? All I currently see are quotes from Armstrong and Bruyneel to the contrary. I think Bruyneel will pull the whole Astana team if Lance is block.Moller said:AFLD say that despite several repeated warnings Armstrong failed to stay with sight of the tester. He's farked!
