I was watching highlights of the Paralympic games last night and just sat there in awe watching how those athletes perform.
They showed the track cycling 1k sprints and there were 2 guys with one leg either amputated or paralyzed, and with their one good leg still went around the track averaging over 45km/h for 1 k.
These athletes overcome so much and then do even more, it's a pity that they often don't get the rewards or recognition they deserve. They are an inspiration to me and I will definitely show them much more respect in future.
