Hi
I need some help..I have a klein reve and the crappy bontrager stem and handlebars are squeeking like mad..I tried tightnening them myself and it seemed tight enough..there is no play in headset...is there something I am missing?

Try removing all the bolts and applying a light coating of grease on them. Also, take the handlebar out and clean the places where the handlebar and stem are in contact with a degreaser or good old fashioned scrubbing.
this happened when i bought a bike a year ago, before my BMC dream machine. The headset squeaked for the first 500km. I put some light oil in about 450km and i think that must have solved it. Hope it works for you.
I had the same problem with my Trek.
Forget using oil...too messy IMO.
Check out a graphite spray...😉
Take off the stem and unstack the spacers.
Clean and apply the lube.
Restack spacers and clamp on your stem.
I had a Giant Boulder here one day with steerer noise, it turned out to be the cables. Some Tri flo helped that.
