Sorry if this post shows up twice, but it didn't appear to take the first time.
I have a question regarding JIS standards and threadless headsets. I have an old Centurion lugged
frame that I recently repainted and was going to put on a carbon fork (alloy steerer 1") that I had
when I realized the headtube takes the old JIS 30mm headset. Woodman apparently sells one but I
can't find anyone on line that sells them and my LBS doesn't have this one or any other threadless
headset in their distributors catalog. So my questions are as follows:
A) has anyone else experienced this and what did you do to solve it?
B) Do any of you that post here and own bicycle shops have a headset like this for sale?
C) Should a headset with the JIS measurement work with a newly manufactured fork (ie the the race
should fit the fork correctly).
Thanks in advance...
