Health Net of California is New Title Sponsor

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (May 14, 2003) The Warner Center Disco Run-n-Ride benefiting the West Valley
Boys & Girls Club is pleased to announce Woodland Hills-based Health Net of California will become
Title Sponsor for 2003.

The Health Net Warner Center Disco Run-n-Ride will hit the streets of Woodland Hills May 24-25. It
is the first year for the 5-10K skate, run/walk and the 12th year for the Warner Center Grand Prix.

"Health Net is delighted to be a partner with so many caring organizations and community-minded

community, and we care about making a difference in the lives of our most precious asset: the youth
of our community."

Health Net also sponsors one of the best professional cycling teams, featuring Gord Fraser, which
will be one of the main attractions of the May 25 Grand Prix. The Grand Prix features both men's

Besides the hot Gord Fraser, the Health Net Cycling Team will send Mike Sayers and a full support
squad to contest what is traditionally a sprinter's paradise. Monex/Hot Wheels, Schroeder Iron,
Jelly Belly, Saturn, Prime Alliance, Ofoto (with defending champion Keith Horowitz) all are expected
to send their best and most exciting riders to fight for the victory.

The Warner Center Grand Prix will be televised by Time Warner Cable on all its Southern California
outlets, and Star 98.7 radio will be on hand from 2 to 4
p.m. Monex is sponsoring the celebrity event that will take place just before the men's pro
criterium, while a Kids' Zone and kids' racing events - both sponsored by State Farm and Mattel

This year, area businesses, including the Westfield Promenade Mall, Hilton, Marriott, Maggiano's,
Wolfgang Puck's, Monty's, Mattel, and Chick's Sporting Goods will provide primes and prizes for the
runners and cyclists.

"This year's event looks to be the best ever. We expect a large crowd and an exciting atmosphere. I
would like to thank all the sponsor's of this year's event that helped make this happen, especially
Health Net, Time Warner Cable, KBIG, Los Angeles Daily News, Monex, Cytosport, Westfield Promenade,
the Woodland Hills Hilton, and the Warner Center Marriott, and all of the local businesses that
