New to this group and a bit worried about some palpitations I'm having which began to occur about 13 months ago, a while after I suffered from an anxiety disorder. I'm a 25 yo male, smoker and moderate drinker (once or twice a week at the moment). I have fully got over the anxiety disorder and haven't had any panic attacks for about 6 months.
The reason I'm writting this message is that I still suffer from what I think are heart palpitations but I can't be sure. It feels like a muscle spasm or somemes something a bit more forceful and occurs to the right side of my chest, about 2 - 3 inches from the center of my ribcage (well at least it fells like it). They seem to come and go. Some days I don't get any and other days I seem to get a lot. Sometimes they are worse during a hangover but they can occur while at rest and also whle excersising.
When they astarted about a year ago I went and had an EKG which proved to be successful - I subsequently had another 2 (as I said I was expereincing extreme anxiety!) which also proved to be fine. I was also put on a treadmill for a while and the report showed no problems (though I did not have any palpitations during this). When the palpitations occur, I have no other symptoms - I have never had any chest pains (as far back as I can remember) and I do not feel faint, nauseous or dizzy when they occur. Do you think these are anything to worry about - or perhaps they might not be palpitations at all.

Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Your symptoms are on the wrong side of the chest to be palpitations.
