  1. I thought I'd share this tidbit of information. Some may find it interesting others may not.

For the past 2 years I've pretty much been a bike rider. Did a couple of races and got my ass handed
to me. I bought myself a heart rate monitor and just used the defaults on it. It didn't take me much
time to get my heart rate up and going.

I took up running in the middle of September this year. I've been avoiding using the HRM. I strapped
it on tonight when I did a ride on my trainer. It took forever to get my heart rate up to the low
minimum (127 BPM). And when I slowed down it dropped like a rock.

I guess why I'm reporting this is because running has really brought my heart rate down a lot more
than cycling did. I'd read somewhere that for every 3 miles you ride its equivelent to 1 mile of
running. I guess this goes a little ways to proving that. At least for me.

I also took my resting heart rate, at work, and it was 52 BPM which was pretty dang good considering
the last time I took it at work it was something like 74. Helps to get in a less stressful job and
    workout more!

    Later, Chris D.
