is there a brand of helmet that will fit a head that takes a hat size of 65cm??
A friend wants to get back into cycling and although he used to have an exemption (must wear a helmet by law in Melbourne) he would still feel better riding in traffic wearing one.

Thanks

Geoff

Not quite sure how big 65 cm is, but I have a large melon (7 7/8 - 8 baseball hat size) and I've always found the best luck with Bell Helmets. Giro and Specialized are the other brands I've tried, just not as comfortable for me. FWIW

I thought that my head was the biggest at 24 inches, but your friend has a 25 inch head (65 cm). The bell ghisallo has an adjustable strap that can be loosened or tightened down on any large cranium. The large will do just fine.

Thanks for the info on the Ghisallo, I'll get him to give one a try.

Cheers

Met make a helmet specially for those who are large of noggin. It's called the Testagrossa and comes in a single size, 61-64cm's.
