Helmet pads

Probably this is obvious but I am stumped. Do I deploy them at the cardinal
points inside my helmet? Use only as needed? Save for a rainy day? What is

Pads are about an inch at their longest dimension. Helmet a Giro Eclipse.

Does it fit and stay put on your head? Throw them away.

Does it shift around on you head due to poor fit in some direction? Use
them to fill in, if a minor misfit. Get a different size helmet if a
major misfit.

No instructions?
I hate those pads. You can't move them around if you stick them in the
wrong place. They wear out quickly, but the company will send you more
if you ask.

This new helmet I got a few months ago has pads that are held in place
with Velcro, a much more practical solution.

BTW, I guess I have peanut sized head because small wasn't small enough.
Youth fit much better and I still use the pads.

Okay, got it, pads are all about fit and not some other esoteric purpose.
