Looking at a pair on ebay and wondering about the fit. The seller is no
help "We dont have a shoe salesman on staff..."

Any of you guys out there ever used the old Duegi 101s? Do the tend to run
larger or smaller than SIDIs with the same size number?

thanks,
steve

I've never owned SIDIs, but the sizing of the Duegis I recall to be
about average for the size stated. I also remember that I could never
get the cleats to stop squeaking, and when I spoke to other guys who
wore them, they said that the wooden soles of the 101s always squeak.

THanks, that helps some. Would you mind telling me what street shoe size
you wear amnd what size Duegis you wore? The size conversion charts I see
on the net are all screwy. They dont agree with one another, and none agree
with my experience.

thanks,
steve

They run similar in sizing to comparable Vittoria shoes of that era. As
another pointed out, they never stop squeaking but there are really nice
shoes. I have a pair in excellent condition for when the UCI bans clipless
pedals.

I wear a size 8D street shoe; I'm pretty sure the Duegis were 40 European.

I had a pair of these a while back and I used the same size, 41 , as I do
of Sidi Genius. Keep in mind that the Duegi will probably stretch a little
bit with use, so you may want to order a bit smaller.

The Duegi's are are fairly close to the size. The 101's are a great
shoe. The are probably one of the best shoes when the 101's were being
made. The only problem with the 101's is that the nut for adusting the
cleat will strip out. This is because they the nut has a coarse thread
and so there is only a few threads. I recommend that you loctite the
threads once you have found your ideal cleat postion.
