I always have had a problem with my toes cramping and aching by the end of a ride. I knew this was due to the fact that I curl up and put pressure on my toes rather than the balls of my feet and have ben trying to break myself of this. This morning just before I went out on my bike I cut the arch of my foot. I cleaned up my foot with peroxide and put a 2x2 gauze pad on it wrapped it with Johnson & Johnson 2" hurt free tape "sticks to itself, not to skin" and was off on my bike. My toes were more elevated and it was not possible for me to curl my toes and put pressure on them. I put the pressure on the ball of my foot as I ought to. What a difference! I always thought the arch supports in my cycling shoes were good. Perhaps not. Just thought I'd share as I thought I had remembered reading others having the same problem.
