In the next month or so I will buy a new road bike and have narrowed the decision down to a 3-way race: 1. Specialized Tarmac Expert, 2. Scott CR1 Pro, 3. Trek Madone 5.2. All three are Ultegra 10 speed and full carbon frame and forks. All three have different quality wheels but that doesn't matter as I will swap for my Kysrium SSC SLs. I intend to test ride all three but any opinions would be appreciated. I want a bike that climbs well, is light but also strong and comfortable enough to handle Scottish roads. You may even suggest an alternative and make the decision even more complicated! My budget limit is around £2k and I currently ride a Look carbon KG241.

Have a look at the GIANT Range
Here in Australia, the TCR advanced model is selling like hot cakes
to serious riders.giant-bicycle.com030.000.000.aspOpen ↗
I can't seem to see the same bike on the GIANT UK website but you might be able to import from Australia.
The reason their selling well is that the frameset is best GIANT produce
and is used by T-Mobile. Blue understated graphics and Ultegra running gear are the only difference to the team spec bikes, the frame is the same.I find the compact frame and the tight rear triangle make for a fast handling bike, stiffness and lightness helps in climbing, and the layered carbon approach without using lugs builds in a high level of comfort.
I'm using the TCR advanced Team and find its the best value for money at
the top end of the market.Regards
