Help me fix Habanero mt bike?

Stems are a little easier - it mainly depends if you need the
additional bar width that comes along with most riser bars. I think
someone posted a link to my "stem chart", which should help you
determine the rise and extension you need...

So riser bars are wider than standard handle bars?

If yes..... then it sounds like I should change only
the stem as the bars that I have seem to be ok width
wise

Most are - but there is a wide variation among different brands. Just
be sure and check before buying a replacement.

That's what I'd recommend unless you need a LOT of rise.

Just that a medium Loco has a top tube, or virtual top tube, that is a
little long for me at 5'8". It just means that I have to go with a
somewhat shorter stem.
