[help] repaire a cracked aluminium frame

today i noticed the light and narrow crack shown in the photos :-(

waiting for a new frame (1-2 months) could i weld a sort of gusset around the crack and continue
using the bike? would the reinforced frame be "enough safe"?

unless your time isn't very expensive, this is the type of thing thats cheaper to replace

In a word, NO!!!!

Welding a gusset in that area without heat treating the frame would probably make it more
likely to fail.

You do NOT want that top tube to fail while riding - park the bike.
