Help with KH24 cricking noise?

For the last month I've been hearing cricking noises in my KH24 (only 3 months old but nearly daily use). Sounds like somebody opening a candy bar in a movie theater. I was getting rained on rather too frequently, so figure it must be some corrosion in the hub. Anyone have guidelines on maintenance or repacking this hub? What do you think? Thanks?

When you say cricking, do you mean clicking or creaking?

(1) If clicking, it is probably that you have to tighten the 'pinch
bolts', the small bolts that tighten the crank around the hub end.
Loosen the big bolts first, and of course tighten them afterwards.

(2) More likely, you mean creaking. While annoying, this seems to be a
quite common problem, and not harmful in itself. Grease is the answer.
Exactly how to apply this has bee described before. Use the 'groups'
search facility of Google and search for creaking KH24.

The gateway to the forum is currently down :-( (pain in the ass), so
your message reached preciously few people. If you can't find your
answer or want more responses, you could repost directly on the forum.

I checked it out and applied anti-seize liberally to the splined axel and bolts, which appears to have solved the problem. Since the rain doesn't seem like it's going to let up in Atlanta, I'll get a good idea about how long this fix lasts and how often I'll need to do it. Thanks again.
