I've been wandering arround trying to reply to messages and just get "Sorry no posts for this thread" or similar.
What am I doing wrong?
All you guys managed to get going. Why am I stuck?
There appears to be no help on how to get started.

My guess is your trying to reply to some 'Usenet' topics that Cycling Forums is not connected with. (Running, food, Misc. fitness weights etc.).

Thanks for the reply.

What I get is

"Sorry! This forum is not accepting new posts."

I think your response is right. The note says read Usenet FAQ before accessing gateway. Where do I find Usenet FAQ?

I don't believe we have access to Usenet FAQ anywhere on our forum. (I've never seen it anyway).

I'm new to all this. Thanks to you guys for trying to help me.
I found the usenet FAQ by going in through google. It did not, however, tell me how to join usenet. I cannot work out which page to invoke to get started, or any help explaining what to do. One link kept starting Outlook express, which I do not use (I use Yahoo mail exclusively). I did get to read a summary of the the FAQ of the thread I was interested in and it contained some very useful information. I am really interested in contributing to it but did not know where to start. After a few unsuccessful attempts I gave up. It's a pity really because they wanted people to support the FAQ.

If anyone can tell me how to get into usenet, I would be grateful.
