  1. have to be careful with iron studies coz iron usually ends up being a downstream thing..++mostly
    because a strategy against acute phase is to decrease iron levels which causes an increase in
    ferritin (and changes in %saturation).++Then again there may be a causation - eg., magnesium is
    depleted by inflammation but maybe it helps vasculature.++My 2c. (2 centences)
