A beautiful day in "sarf Lundun" saw some great racing at the 1948
Olympics velodrome with two World Champions in attendance. Bradley was
AWESOME and Vicky was LOVELY!

Bradley won two events. First up was the 10 minute pursuit (for the
fifth time) catching Alex Dowsett after 6.5 minutes with Sean Yates also
taking part. He also won the Elimination race with a powerful sprint
over the last lap after a long holdup folowing a major crash in the
finishing straight with 4 laps to go (one rider off to hospital in an
ambulance but thankfully he climbed onto the stretcher following
comments that he was suffering from back trouble). In the last event of
the day, the 16 km Golden Wheel Scratch Race, Bradley battled hard on
his own to catch a 4 man break and then attempted to break away from
this group with one lap to go but was caught in the last 100m to finish
fourth.

Vicky restricted herself to a celebratory lap and then presenting the
prizes -a congratulatory kiss being an added incentive to do well!

Another winner was former world champion and current sprint coach to the
British team, Jan van Eijden, who won the Invitation Sprint (previous
winners include Chris Hoy, Arnaud Tournant, Ross Edgar and Craig
McLean).
