After a very long hiatus.

I'm not sure if there was a subforum for women the last time I was here. I'm glad I found this place.

Long story short, my car battery has died, and I have decided to go back to living car-free no matter what anyone says.

I'm interested in buying a beach cruiser to ride to work because for some reason, I experience a smoother and faster ride with those bikes than with road bikes. The area in which I live has very flat roads too.

Hi! Have you made the purchase of your dream? I like bikes, but it seems to be dangerous to ride it here, in my local area.

I'm also a returnee with a sabbatical due to an injury. A bulge was appearing on my right leg, behind the shin, that is suspected to be swollen muscle. It emerges after a long ride and vanishes after resting my feet for 2 or 3 days. I still do not ride for a precautionary measure but I'm here in the forum as well.
